Tony Brittan

Tony Brittan grew up in San Diego, enjoying the beach lifestyle, where he started his career in radio. He spent 16 years being a radio personality, from Nights at a Classic Rock station in Las Vegas to Mornings and Program Director for various formats from Memphis to the Outer Banks and New Jersey. A perfect occupation for someone who likes to study people and considers himself a Social Anthropologist!

Throughout the radio years he had used his skills in video production to do DVD's and web video for events and stunts that the station or his show did. While in New Jersey, he decided that he was bored with radio so he went to school in New York City for film / video editing on Apple's Final Cut Pro software and became an Apple Certified Pro. Soon after he created Island Shore Productions and he hasn't looked back. He is a self-proclaimed Geek, loves to work with all of the equipment and, most of all, telling a story with video.

He moved back to the Outer Banks because of the wonderful community and the beauty of this paradise. His passion for high quality video and "mad scientist" attitude towards the edit process, where he will spend hours to make each scene perfect with just the right "look", have given him the opportunity to work on projects from national commercials, to beach weddings, to corporate training and of course The Outer Banks Angler! Quote: "If you love what you do, it isn't work!"

Missie Smith

Missie Smith
Marketing Executive

Who I am:
I was born in Norfolk VA and lived in Chesapeake VA until 1985 when I moved to North Carolina. I have lived in Dare County for the last eleven years. I previously owned a wholesale business and know how much work goes into everything when it's your business.

What I do:
I help business people figure out how to best market themselves, because, unlike the movies, if you build it, they don't necessarily come! You have to market yourself and your product and that's what I do. I work with clients in all media areas to help them determine the best marketing strategy. I then implement the plan and show them how easy it is to be successful; it's just a matter of never letting the competition beat you!

What I Like:
I enjoy the outdoors and especially fishing. I grew up with a great respect for nature, and the environment, and spent many hours with my dad on the water. I have a great husband, Mike "Moose" Smith and a Lab mix that always wants to be the center of attention!
